CrateVault launched in 2016, back when opening third-party cases was still a novelty, and it has quietly outlived most of its early rivals. The site keeps a deliberately retro look: a dense grid of cases, big odds labels, and none of the casino-style noise newer platforms lean on. Veterans tend to like that restraint; first-timers may find the interface a little dry.
The core loop is classic case opening, backed by a busy case battles lobby and a simple upgrader. Cases are grouped by theme and budget, from pocket-money starter crates to high-tier knife hunts. Battles support up to four players with crazy mode and team variants, and new lobbies fill quickly in the evenings. The upgrader works fine but publishes less detail about its odds than we would like.
Deposits are flexible: skins, major cryptocurrencies, and card payments are all accepted, with a reasonable minimum on each. Withdrawals are skins or crypto only. In our testing, skin withdrawals from the on-site inventory arrived within ten minutes, and crypto cash-outs cleared in under an hour. There is a small flat fee on crypto withdrawals that the site could disclose more prominently.
Trust is where CrateVault shows its age. There is still no provably fair system, only published odds per case and a long operating history to lean on.
